  1. Carla is one of the most amazing persons I have ever met, my heart is broken to hear this :( She would go out of her way to help anyone. She and her family helped me so much with Oscar a stray i rescued back in October of last year. If it wouldn't have been for her I couldn't have keept him. She did everything to help me, she was sweet, caring, loving, she was awesome and we will miss her so much. I'm so sorry Carla's family :( Robert & Laura your Mother was amazing <3 May you Rest In Peace Carla Collins <3 We love you <3

  2. Dear Robert and Laura, Words can not express the memories I have of Your mother. She was a steadfast anchor in our Sit Means Sit world. She was a true friend. I can't believe she is gone or that I can not pick up the phone to talk to her. Your mom was so genuine in her giving and care for others around her,the dogs , and someone everyone felt they could turn to if they needed training help, advice, someone to help in organization, planning or an ear to listen. Carla didn't mind being behind the scenes and could also be the front man when called upon. She talked about how much help you both were to her in the newly aquired business. My heart goes out to your family at this time. If I can do anything please contact me

  3. We were absolutely floored when we heard the news. Carla was the first person we met in Sit Means Sit and we loved owning a territory close by so we could work with her. Once we moved away from TX we always looked forward to seeing her at company events. Carla was such a bright spot in our day. She will be missed!

  4. Eloquent words escape me however the sentiment is genuine. Carla and I met nearly 15 years ago. I was a novice handler to whom Carla kindly shared pearls of dog wisdom. We served on Texas Task Force 1 together. Whether training or deploying, Carla always brought a smile to my heart and a calm to my mind. Her dedication to the team and to the victims she served always exceeded expectations. I will treasure the times spent in her company and take comfort in knowing that since "all dogs go to heaven" Carla is surely surrounded by the magical creatures she so loved.

  5. Carla was a true 'Dogwoman' in every sense of the word. But she was so much more -and all about giving.
I am privileged to have met Carla thru the IACP and know that she will be missed by many.

  7. We will miss you so. The smile in your voice, the twinkle in your eyes, the kindness of your heart. You can't be replaced and you left us all too soon. God speed, Ms. Carla - we love you.

  8. I met Carla sometime in '02 or '03 as I began my adventure into the world of dog training. I loved to see her work with Scooby. I also helped her SAR team with training on one rainy morning. It deeply saddens me that she will no longer be with us but I thank her for the great memories. My sincere condolences to her family.

  9. I would not be where I am today if I had never met Carla Collins. Being on Search One Rescue team with her gave me the knowledge and experience I needed to start my company
Dog Gone Detectives. Now I am out helping people find their beloved pet with my tracking dogs.
The thing I remember most was getting the
shaken handler syndrome at training. That means she would take me gently by the shoulders and shake me, to make me think about what it was that I was missing or not seeing about what my dog was doing in training.I learned so much from her.
I will never forget Carla Collins.

  10. Clifford and Nancy, Sorry that Greeta and I did not know Carla after she became an adult, but we grieve with you in your loss but her love for you and her many friends(and dogs) will live on! We just adopted a 4mo. old pug puppy to go with our 10 yr.old Golden and 8 yr.shi-shie(ms) so we could really have used her knowledge. At least we have something in common with Carla, a love of dogs(and you). George @ Greeta
